An annual review is essential to the health of any retirement plan. Our consultants will review all your investment options with your investment committee each year. If necessary, we will make recommendations on alternate fund options if a fund is underperforming in its specific investment category.
A key component of our service offering is that we will provide an unbiased analysis of your services and fees by not only comparing your plan to your competition, but to other investment platforms that are available.
One of the most deceiving parts of any retirement plan is the fees. We hold fee transparency with our clients in the highest regard. During our annual review, we not only review the fees of the custodian and/or third-party administrator, but we also review our agency fee to make sure that the total cost to the plan is competitive.
While we review the internal investment options each year, we will also review the retirement plan custodian every 3 to 5 years to ensure that their fees, technology, and services are meeting expectations. In some instances, we will work with the custodian and/or plan sponsor on removing the non-active/terminated participants out of the retirement plan. This helps with plan administration and is good for the overall health of any retirement plan.
